Measuring What Actually Matters

Not Every Number Helps

A business can drown in figures that look encouraging and mean little. Views and impressions feel like progress, but they do not pay bills, and mistaking them for success steers effort in the wrong direction.

The numbers worth watching are the ones tied to real outcomes: enquiries, calls, visits. These are harder to inflate and far more honest about whether a presence is actually working.

Let the Goal Choose the Measure

The right measure follows from the goal. If the aim is enquiries, then enquiries are what to count, and a rise in views that does not move them is a distraction rather than a result.

A business that measures what matters spends its effort where it pays, instead of chasing figures that flatter the dashboard while leaving the order book unchanged.
